First came our CLX 64. Then the 32s. And after racking up multiple wins in Grand Tours, Worlds, and everything in between, we knew that our best bet was to take the line to new heights, or well, new depths. We needed to design one wheel that was a true quiver killer. One wheel that had all the aerodynamic benefits of the 64 in a package that climbed like the 32, and that's where the all-new CLX 50 comes in.
When we set out to create the CLX 50, we had clear goals in mind, create wheels that are 48 to 54mm deep, aerodynamically optimized, ultra-wide, and under 1400 grams. This meant that they'd have to borrow some weight savings techniques that we developed for the CLX 32, while taking some aero guidance from the CLX 64, if we were going to create what we like to call ""the unicorn wheel.""
Even though the CLX 50 is similar in weight to many wheels in the ""lightweight"" category, aerodynamics came at the forefront of the development. With this, we jumped headlong into Computational Fluid Dynamics computer modeling to arrive at various rim shapes that could make the CLX 50 as fast and light as possible. It took a while, but we narrowed the rim shape down to three contenders that were then CNC machined into rims, built into wheels, and put into the Win Tunnel. In the tunnel, we tested every wheel, ours and the competition's, with a 24C tire (measuring 26C), as tires can drastically affect testing. We chose a modern-width tire to design our rims around, because they not only allow for less tire pressure (which results in more comfort and less rolling resistance) but are also just as aerodynamically efficient when paired with the correct rim width.
After finding the optimized rim shape that supported our svelte weight requirements, we opted to lace the rims, via 21 DT Swiss Aerolite spokes, to our Aero Flange (AF) hub with the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings and DT 240 hub internals. And when it was time for final testing validation, we were left with a 50mm-deep, 770-gram clincher wheelset that's not only 200 grams lighter than the competition's similar depth wheel, but is also measurably faster in every conceivable test than each wheel in its category.

When we set out to create a lightweight tubular disc wheel, we didn't want it to be ""just another climbing wheel."" We wanted to provide the lightest disc wheelset available with the aerodynamic attributes of something twice its depth. It was a tall order, but in the end, our CLX 32 Tubular Disc not only not only delivers on this in spades, but it also provides incredible brake modulation and power in all conditions, increased impact resistance, and a disc-specific carbon layup that increases strength while decreasing weight.
Our design process started with a low overall weight at the forefront, as we knew what weight we could hit with the information and technology we had available. With that weight in mind, we then turned our focus to aerodynamics and began an iterative process of designing and testing over 150 individual rims to find the optimal shape. These innumerable Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models, Win Tunnel hours, and shots of espresso left us with a 32mm-deep shape that boasts more logged wind tunnel time than any other wheel in its category. Once we found the most aerodynamic shape, at the 32-millimter depth, we came back to the weight focus and proceeded to experiment with over 40 different layup methods to reach our desired weight. And this made the CLX 32 lighter and faster than every other competitor in the lightweight wheel category.
For this CLX 32, we mated the rim to our Aero Flange (AF) series hub with DT Swiss Aero spokes to create the best overall system. This results in a 680-gram, front wheel with an extremely low inertia value. In cycling, inertia relates to the amount of force it takes to accelerate or decelerate, so wheels that are built with lightweight rims, like the CLX 32, result in a lower inertia value that creates a lively wheel that allows you to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction with less effort. But why so wide? Well, additional width does three primary things for a rim, it provides additional structural strength, it allows for a clean rim and tire interface when using wide tires (resulting in enhanced aerodynamics and faster rolling properties), and it better supports the tire in hard cornering. This boosts both predictable grip and confidence when things get twisty on the descents.
Each rear wheel also employs the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings and comes with our padded wheelbag, quick-release, tubeless plugs, tubeless valve, and SwissStop Black Prince brake pads.

A revolutionary new disc brake-specific, aerodynamic, carbon fiber triathlon and time trial wheelset. The SES 7.8 Disc is both aerodynamically and structurally optimized for use with disc brakes.
Who It's For
Road racers and triathletes on modern disc brake-equipped aero road and triathlon bikes will benefit from the SES 7.8 Disc's reduced drag, light weight, and rim shape optimized for larger-volume road tires.
Why We Made It
Many modern road bikes are now equipped with disc brakes and the triathlon superbikes of tomorrow will be as well. The elimination of a braking surface opens up the realm of aerodynamic and structural possibilities. When you don't have to engineer a flat braking surface that must manage high temperatures from braking you can reduce the rim's weight, adjust the rim shape for improved aerodynamics, and provide better tubeless performance.
Full Details
Disc brakes are beginning to appear on the most aerodynamic bikes in the world and the SES 7.8 is ready. While most wheel manufacturers simply repurpose their rim brake-optimized wheel models into disc brake wheels by covering brake tracks with decals and adding disc hubs and more spokes, this leaves substantial amounts of performance on the table. Removing the constraints of a braking surface on the rim allow us to completely rethink the shape of the rim, and more specifically, the brake track area itself. The SES 7.8 Disc features patented SES rim curvature that has been optimized for disc brakes. Additionally, the SES 7.8 Disc carbon fiber clinchers and tubulars are much lighter because the material used for heat management has been eliminated. With no braking surface, the rim can be made more aerodynamically efficient and impact resistant. Finally, the SES 7.8 carbon clincher is tubeless-compatible and can also be run with standard inner tubes and tires. Like all of the current generation SES carbon clinchers and tubulars, the SES 7.8 Disc has been aerodynamically optimized around fast-rolling 25mm tires.

What It Is

The SES 5.6 Disc is optimized aerodynamically and structurally for disc use. Road cyclists and triathletes on disc brake bikes will benefit from the SES 5.6 Disc's reduced drag, lightweight design, and rim shape optimized for larger-volume road tires.
Why We Made It
Most "disc brake" wheelsets are simply repurposed rim brake wheels with disc hubs. The elimination of a braking surface opens up the realm of aerodynamic and structural possibilities. When you don't have to engineer a flat braking surface and manage high temperatures from braking, you can reduce the rim's weight, adjust shape for improved aerodynamics and provide better tubeless performance.
Full Details
Disc brake technology offers improved braking performance for amateur and professional road cyclists alike. Carbon fiber braking surfaces are a major design constraint that limits weight savings and rim design. By removing the constraints of a braking surface, we can completely rethink the shape of the rim. The SES 5.6 Disc features patented SES rim curvature, but has been further optimized for disc brakes. Additionally, the SES 5.6 Disc carbon fiber clinchers and tubulars are very lightweight, because the material used for rim brake heat management has been eliminated. This allows for a more structurally efficient and impact-resistant rim. Finally, the SES 5.6 Disc carbon clincher is road tubeless-compatible and can still be run with standard inner tubes and tires. Like the current generation SES carbon clinchers and tubulars, the 5.6 Disc has been aerodynamically optimized around 25mm tires.

What It Is
The SES Disc wheel is the outright fastest rear wheel available. It is the culmination of nearly five years of development. During this process we considered not only aerodynamics but also rolling resistance, braking, and ride quality. The SES Disc is available as a tubeless clincher in both rim and disc brake models.
Who It's For
The SES Disc wheel is for elite and professional time trialists and triathletes who are looking for maximum efficiency for race courses where average speeds will exceed 27mph.
Why We Made It
Beyond 27mph, at the high speeds experienced by professionals and the best amateur athletes, a rear disc wheel is the most aerodynamic solution. Every aspect of efficiency must be considered at these speeds, and we spared no expense in development.
Some will ask why it has taken so long for ENVE to develop a rear disc. Simply, we only wanted to make a disc that delivers a significant step forward in performance and ride quality over our flagship SES 7.8. We took our time to get it right.
To achieve the bar-raising performance of the SES Disc, we developed every aspect: aerodynamics, tubeless compatibility, construction, and braking. Like all SES products, the SES Disc was developed using state-of-the-art Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis by our long-term partner and consultant aerodynamicist, Simon Smart of Smart Aero Technology. Prototypes were assessed in the Mercedes-AMG Formula One wind tunnel and the subtle shape iterated to deliver class-leading aerodynamics at high race speeds.

What It Is
The ultimate everyday carbon fiber cycling wheelset and choice of Team Dimension Data.
Who it's for
Road cyclists and triathletes looking to minimize the trade-off between aerodynamics, lightweight, and stability.
Why we made it
Because from the moment the first prototypes made the rounds at ENVE, it's been the house favorite. The SES 4.5 rounds out the Smart ENVE System wheel line as a true mid-depth everyday cycling race wheelset. Additionally, the SES 4.5 features a refined shape and construction that yields better acceleration, cornering, impact resistance, and weight savings.

Since 2020, Rapide CLX wheels have won more races on the world tour than any other wheels, and we just made them faster. Meet the new Rapide CLX II. Combining the aerodynamics of a deep-section TT wheel with the light weight of a shallower climbing wheel and mixing in the superior efficiency and sublime handling of a tubeless system-the Rapide CLX II delivers maximum speed for real-world riding. We developed distinctly different shapes for the Rapide CLX II front and rear rims. The result is a wheelset that catches less drag than most 65mm wheelsets and brings a dramatic 25% improvement in stability over 50mm rims in wind gusts. The Rapide CLX II utilizes a hooked rim (allowing for real-world riding pressures up to 110psi, if that's your thing) for secure tire bead retention and an easier set up and mounting experience than ever before.
